(Guide lines for the use of Temple downstairs hall)

    There are three types of events under consideration:

  1. Temple Sponsored Events
  2. Temple Approved Events – No usage charge
  3. Temple Approved Events – Usage Charge
  1. Temple Sponsored Activities: From time to time the Temple will organize activities for the community aligned with its mission. For these activities, the question of usage fees does not arise since the temple is the organizer and host.
  2. Temple Approved Events – No usage charge: From time to time, members from the community will organize events falling into the following categories:

·  A. Religious type activities such as:

·        Lectures or satsangwith swamis/gurus

·        Bhajan Group

·         Audio/Video listening/viewing of religious topic

·  B. Cultural/ Educational activities such as:

·         Language, heritage, yoga or meditation classes arranged through the Temple Committee.

·         Music or dance program – free if devotional (no food, but admission charge to cover artist’s charges are acceptable)

·         Conferences.

·  Conditions:

·         Open to all

·         No admission charge

·         No food ( simple prasad may be served in the hallway)

·         Any offering to God goes to the temple (any guru dakshina goes to the guru)

·  If any of these conditions are not met there will be a charge of $50

These activities will be given the publicity in the Temple newsletter at the discretion of the Temple Committee.

  1. Temple Approved Events – Usage Charge: All other activities that do not fall into the above two categories will be treated as being in the third category (The Temple will be the sole authority in deciding which category an activity belongs to). Examples of some of these activities are given below:

Temple downstairs hall rentals require $250.00 Security / Cleaning deposit
Note: The deposit will be forfeited if the downstairs & upstairs halls, bathrooms and the kitchen area are not cleaned by the party renting the place. We must receive your payment within 7 days to maintain your registration.
